Legacy & Legacy Cadet Baseline Setup Information


Jr. 1 Plate Classes:
  • Left Side Weight: 53% - 54%
  • Rear Weight: 53% - 54%
  • Cross Weight: 60% - 64%
  • Stagger: 1" rear and 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" front
  • Camber: 2.25° split (For example: 0.50° positive left front and 2.75° negative RF)
Jr. 2 Plate Classes:
  • Left Side Weight: 54% - 55%
  • Rear Weight: 54% - 55%
  • Cross Weight: 60% - 64%
  • Stagger: 1" rear and 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" front
  • Camber: 2.25° split (For example: 0.50° positive left front and 2.75° negative RF)
Jr. 3 Plate & Stock Medium Classes:
  • Left Side Weight: 56% - 57%
  • Rear Weight: 53% - 54%
  • Cross Weight: 62% - 66%
  • Stagger: 3/4" to 1" rear and 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" front
  • Camber: 2.25° split (For example: 0.50° positive left front and 2.75° negative RF)
Stock Heavy, Super Heavy, and Limited Modified Classes:
  • Left Side Weight: 58% - 59%
  • Rear Weight: 53.5% - 54.5%
  • Cross Weight: 66% - 68%
  • Stagger: 3/4" to 1" rear and 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" front
  • Camber: 2.25° split (For example: 0.50° positive left front and 2.75° negative RF)
Camber Considerations:
  • Charger recommends no more than 3.25° negative camber in the RF and no more than 1.0° positive in the LF at any point in time.
Toe in / out:
  • 1/16" to 1/8" toe-out standard on all weight out.
  • Charger never recommends toe-in.
Caster Considerations:
  • 8.0° caster LF and 12.0° RF caster is standard on all weight outs.
  • Charger does not recommend less than 6° caster on left and no more than 14° on the right.
  • Charger recommends no less than 2° split and no more than 5° on caster.
Chassis Lead:
  • Changing chassis lead can be a great tool to enhance the drivability of the kart. Changing lead is a big change. Be mindful of this and don't let this throw you off.
  • Forward Lead: For larger tracks that have sweeping turns or that are 1/4 mile in length or longer
  • Rearward Lead: For smaller tracks that have tight turns, or indoor tracks
Left Rear Cassette Adjustment:
  • To Increase Rotation move left rear cassette forward
  • To Decrease Rotation move left rear cassette to back position
